Agree - most commercial log books waste too much papwer. Although I dive with a Vyper and its download capabiity, I log each dive and use the tables to check my loading, manage my interval, plan my next depth and time - all the classic log info. I've had my log book save 2 trips so far when my old computer decided that the battery life was over. I've designed my own log page that fits 4 dives on each side of half of an 8.5 x 11 sheet of paper (16 dives to the page). Gives me what I need and allows a few notes and an occaisional sketch / map. I use a Trident 3 ring log binder to save the pages in.
