I was the only other passenger on the Truth when Joe Longo died of an air embolism.
He surfaced with no air in his tank, weightbelt on, BC fully inflated.
We performed CPR on him for about 60 minutes, waiting for the Coast Guard to come.
Short of having a trauma center onboard nothing else could have been done for him that wasn't.
There is no negligence on the part of the Capt or crew.
He had a 1000+ logged dives.
