Aquarium volunteer diver

I saw some violunteer divers at the Aquarium exhibit at the Long Beach Convention Center. They were looking for divers who were giving a one-year commitment to feed fish and clean tanks. You have to have something like 50 dives and have done your rescue classes. Does anyone have any experience doing this? Does it turn into a weighty commitment?
