Let's all redirect our focus to personal responsibility. Dan made a choice to dive with divers he had no knowledge of or experience with. HIS mistake, not the DM's or the boat's owner/operator. HE did not abort his dive when he had an equalization problem and became separated from his stranger "buddies". Again, the best and most responsible buddy we divers can have is right between our ears. And when that buddy fails us, IT'S OUR FAULT!!
