You definitely have bigger cahones than I. I would have just let the shark have the fish from the start. One time at Nic I had two calicos on a stringer while doing a safety stop in the kelp. Three large (5+ ft.) soupfins came and started to circle me and dart back and fourth. I dump the calicos, they grabbed them, and swam off.
