Pt. Dume's a great dive when conditions are good. Early summer can be tricky. According to http://www.diver.net/weather/all_socal_wam.shtml looks not so good. Listen to the news if there's an on shore flow your screwed. I was blown out 2 weekends ago.
Positive notes: High tide is at 8:02am if the waves are down you'll have an awesome dive. If you spot a lot of surfers at free Zuma (Westward Beach) your doomed. Then again you could grab your boogie board, wetsuit and fins and still have a great time. Parking is $7. Summer's here folks!
