I always thought that El Porto was north of Redondo.
The red tide isn't going away. It's been stuck in Santa Monica Bay for a couple of months. Last year we had these conditions up through October! Let's hope that doesn't happen again this year.
Below about 50 feet, it clears up to cold water with reasonable visibility, but it's dark down there.
