I am from the palm and tropical tree forums for Southern California, the trees they can grow down there depend on the ocean, so I was just curious about a few things, and was lucky enough to find this forum. I am from Washington though, and wish I could live down there. I moved from the Bay area two years ago, and I lived there my whole life (13 years) and lived right on an inlet on the San Francisco bay. In that inlet I have seen a lot of sea life within those 13 years, including a manta ray during El Nino, many Bat rays, Tiger Sharks, Leopard Sharks (I actually touched one when I was in the water!), and that is about it. Either the land is sinking or the ocean is rising, because within the past few years all teh wetlands by my house have eroded destroying acres of habitat, and my yard is flooding all the time (I was just there and was ankle deep in it in my yard, fortunatley not the house)
