Zane Grey (western novel author) was a big time fisherman and wrote a book about fishing at Catalina with some of the most increadable (dead) fish pictures in it I have ever seen. I read the book when I was in high school. The picture in this post is his 1927 worl record sordfish. The photo was taken on the dock at Avalon, Catalin.
