I brought a new mask onto a dive boat a couple months ago and had already done the whole toothpaste routine. When the captain heard my mask was brand new he took it from me and began sprinkling powdered kitchen cleanser (Bon Ami??)into it. I was on the verge of freaking out but he assured me I would be so glad that he was doing this.
He was right!! No fogging at all! I have loved that mask and I am sure that my mask was enhanced by Gary of the Psalty V.
BTW, I use spit. A little fresh water swirled around after massaging the spit onto the whole surface, then letting the excess drip out works best for me.
