Dove with Sandeaters this Sunday morning

Although I did not know Paul Meister I felt compelled to go dive Whites Point.
Eventually about a dozen sandeaters showed up. Most like myself, had never dove with sandeaters before. It was nice to meet some new faces.
One of Mr. Meister's contemporaries came and shared of his work.

I hate rock entries, but this one was fairly easy.
We found several thermal vents and the air was thick with sulfur.
Vis was low. I am not good at judging this but I would guess that it was about the same as Max Bottomtime's report from a couple miles up the coast. (Drat you Max B for beating me to a dive report).

Curious those vents. There is a white deposit all around them. Even the seastars were white. But the surrounding sand is black. Nearly no fish to speak of.

According to the Sandeaters site you can avoid the now $7:00 parking fee if you show up before the attendant, but I think that this is no more as they have put in those pay for your spot machines.

All and all a fun dive.
