I was diving at the Seafan Grotto last year when the Scuba Cat did the same thing. My buddy and I ascended within 25 feet of my boat when I noticed that while we were diving, my boat grew another drive and large swimstep. The Scuba Cat's anchor was less than ten feet from mine.
While diving at Ship Rock, a private boater dropped his anchor right through my bubbles. I just happened to look up to see an anchor racing toward my head. There was no current, so they had to see my bubbles. I grabbed their anchor, which missed me only because I moved out of the way, and stuffed it as deep in the rocks as I could. When I surfaced, they asked me if there were any fish under the boat. I should have waited for them to leave first so I could offer to retrieve their anchor for a small fee. :-)
