Regarding MBDC, they are a good backup, at least, to Aquarius, for dive guides or for a scheduled dive boat in Monterey California.
Aquarius is and always was my first choice of dive stores in Monterey. But if they do not have a dive guide available there, or if they do not have a boat trip scheduled for the weekend our international guest will be here, then MBDC is a good choice as an alternative.
There is also Manta Ray and also Bamboo Reef, that I know of, to name a few. Each store has its strengths and weaknesses.
I really doubt that your BA_Diving site will do much more than confuse anyone from out of town. The site has too many opinionated members, their opinions are too irrelevant (why not try a backplate and wing?!), the members mostly just gossip, and there is too much trivia such as what is coming up on TV ... gads!
