This is a very impressive photo of a thresher shark, but it is not in the surf. I am not saying that it is impossible that the surf photo. Is of a thresher shark, but the photo does not prove it. I do not see gill slits. No doubt the photographer had very little time to compose/focus his photo. It is a very interesting photo nevertheless.
If I were a underwater bookie. I would put the odds at.
2 to 1 its a dolphin
50 to 1 its a thresher shark
100 to 1 it a surfer in the middle of a fall with his leg draggin beneath and his arm above.
100,000,000,000 to 1 that it is the next evolutionary step for a surfer. Who had developed natural protection from shark attack.
