In the event of decompreesion illness the chamber is where you need to be. Unfortunately, most chambers away from the coast are used for things other than diving related incidents such as wound care. The associated hospital systems aren't set up so that you can just walk on in to a chamber, the ER is the process that you have to go through. Even when I had the weight of Kaiser behind me, it still took almost a half a day to get through all of the red tape. Hospital chambers aren't like the one out at Catalina.
