A few years ago, I was diving at Outer Pinnacles
in Carmel Bay. I had very brief (maybe 4 seconds)
encounter with an 8-foot Thresher. Brief and
wonderful. I finished the dive, and when I got
back to the anchor line, a buddy was doing his stop.
I signalled: "SHARK", "BIG". He thought I'd seen
the landlord and heads down to try to get picture.
I grabbed his fin as he went by, and signaled:
"TIME", "15", and he looked REALLY disappointed.
