I got it to use in case a fish tangles deep or an anchor is stuck. There are times when I've dove (freedive) down to cut out a fish and come up with that (bad) tingly feeling. I won't be using it for any extended deep dives. It's for getting down to cut kelp or free anchors.
I may use it for shallow bug hunts (~25'). Are safety stops necessary for such shallow dives?
