I took this picture of a school of Mackeral Jack (Trachurus symmetricus) at Farnsworth Bank on August 15, 2004 on a Sea Divers trip. These fish are jacks and are related to yellowtail and are not part of the tuna family are are tru Mackerals. Thus some, including me think they should be call Mackeral Jack instead of the more common Jack Mackeral. Other common names for this fish include Pacific Jack Mackerel, California Horse Mackerel, and Chihuil.
I thought you might enjoy this picture as a background (wallpaper) for your computer screen. I have also added a new size 1400×1050 becasue it fits my new laptop. I hope you enjoy it.
