The loss of tank pressure might not be that rapid.
Many 1st stages have a small oriface (pinhole)
behind the HP port, so that even with no hose
attached at all, they only loose a couple of
hundred PSI per minute. Dunno if the Dacor 350
did (the Dacor 950 did).

I sacrificed the contents of a tank to science a
few years ago. A missing (or ruptured) LP hose
empties the tank MUCH faster than a missing (or
ruptured) HP hose.
