This is a photo from Whites Point in the 1970's. It is from Paul Meisters extensive collection of topside and underwater photography. This was taken during one of the research studies that took place at Whites Point, and, the event was written up in Skin Diver Magazine. I thought that it was very intertesting in several respects:
It is not often when you see a sight such as this taking place on a California Beach.
All of the people in the photo were recreational divers who volunteered to help collect the data for the study. In over 30 years, the way that California Divers dress during leisure time hasn't changed.
