On 8/25 we saw 4 buoys at at Cress St., Laguna Beach. When we dropped down on one we found this:
These were normal lobster traps baited with crab. A small boat was actively moving the traps around. When asked what they were up to, they said "trapping Sheephead." Is this legal? Seems like a sure-fire way to make Sheephead go the way of the abalone.
