I read a lot on this sea which seems to be going downhill, but has anyone gone diving in it? The salt water lake never gets below 60 degrees, and in the summer can get close to 90 degrees or more, with introduced fish in it that are somewhat tropical like Calico and Tilapia. It sounds like an interesting place though, because it plays host to some interesting birds, like Blue Footed boobies, Magnificent Frigate Birds, as well as Flamingos and other interesting birds. I searched on google for underwater photos of it, to see what it looked like, but couldn't find any. I guess in the winter, you could wear a drysuit with a full body face mask, so you don't have to be exposed to the water.
Does anyone know what is going to happen to this lake, with its increasing salinity, and lower levels of fish and bird life? It would be a shame to see such an interesting place diminish.
