Thanks for your efforts to keep the rigs open to recreational divers.
FWIW, the "intake pipe" thing sounds like a red herring (or at perhaps garibaldi ;-). Common sense would lead one to believe they'd have a screen on any intakes otherwise they'd be sucking in fish, jellies and any piece of flotsam that drifted by.
However, as you say, it's their rig so we have to play be their rules.
