Hi,
I live pretty close to the Salton Sea, and I have been in it once about 24yrs ago. The last time I drove by it was about 11 months ago, and about 14 months ago I flow over it. It would be something I would avoid diving into, dry suit or not. The run off from the plantation fields has pretty much destroyed it with all the fertilizer's and insecticides.
