Prior to weeks following 9/11 we were not restricted in our usual diving at the oil rigs. No one told us we couldnt when we radioed the rigs and the Coast Guard never came out to us and chased us away. Sheila remembers when the Coast Guard ship came within a couple hundred yards of us diving Edith 9/17. They never hailed us or otherwise chased us away and we were kind of expecting them to do so.
