It's Pigeon Point. That's how it's on the NOAA
charts, that's how it's on the USGS topo sheets.
The ship that went aground there in 1953 was "Carrier
Pigeon", according to "Shipwrecks and Sea Monsters
or California's Central Coast", Randall A Reinstedt.
Pidgin is a language spoken in the South Pacific,
and I guess in SoCal. ;-)
