Coastside Fishing Club will be hosting a Memorial Service for Randy Fry on
Saturday, September 11, in the Perched Beach area of the harbor. That area
is between the launch ramp and the harbormasters office. A kayak facility
is now located on the beach. About 4PM, Coastside will have burgers ready.
We have arranged to have a podium and microphone for those that would like
to say a word.
At 2PM, there will be a Boat Parade in Randy's honor. The Huli Cat will be
spreading ashes.
For those of you coming from out of town that have inquired, Huli Cat will
do a rockfish trip on Saturday morning, leaving the dock at 6AM, back in the
harbor by 1:30PM. If you are interested in seeing a small section of this
HMB coast, I will need your name for reservations. Be at the boat about
5:15am. For those staying overnight, the following facilities have some
roooms, some more than others. Harbor View Inn (650) 726-2329. Across the
street from the harbor. Miramar Lodge (650) 712-1999. Just under two miles
south of the harbor. Ramada Limited (650) 726-9700. Just under two miles
south of the harbor, next door to the Miramar Lodge. Holiday Inn Express
(650) 726-3400. Just south of Hwy 92 on Hwy 1, a little over 4 miles south
of the harbor.
For those staying Saturday night, there is a Chili Cook Off 11AM to 5PM in
the harbor Sunday, September 12.
