Re: 1. How big was the fish?
About 24-30"

Re: 2. What color was it?
Blue all over.

Re: 3. Any distinguishing marks or features?
A ridge above the eyes, not as pronounced
as in the attached jpg, but very
noticeable. At first i thought it was
a large male sheepshead, but I've never
seen one that size, and that blue!

Re: 4. Was it free-swimming or on the bottom?
Free swimming among the other fish,
attracted by my splitting open of some
sea urchins.

Re: 5. If swimming, was it using its pectoral fins or was it using its tail?
It's pectoral fins.

Re: 6. How deep?
About 25 feet.

Re: It was by itself, and it was trying to feed
like the other fish, but wasn't doing too
well -- not aggressive enough.

Hope this helps.
