Nearly all of the diving in Laguna Beach is in less than 45 feet. Beach diving along the west side of the Palos Verdes peninsula requires a long swim to get deeper than 35 feet. There are exceptions, but other than canyon dives, the majority of beach dive sites have shallow reefs to explore.
