Ken.. Who is editing your newsletter? Specifically the article about the 2 day trip on the ENCORE and how the boat is finally "taking a cue from the Caribbean operators and helping divers in and out of their gear"
and "if this is a trend-keep it up" PSHAWWW you tourist. This is'nt the Caribbean and I think you know that.
We aren't resort divers that need every little thing done for us--or at least we should'nt be that needy and incompetant. I wonder if thats why tipping has halved for boat crews in the last 2 years. As well, the wages are so low for boat crews that you have to live with tyour parents
to affort to work one of those boats. If you want a mint on your pillow and a warm towel--go to the Caribbean. Those guys on local boats basically just get paid to get you on site in one piece and not starving. Can,t you get your own fins off ? Know how to thread a tank strap? Cannot lift all that
"Andrea Doria" gear to make a 20 ft kiddie pool dive? If not then perhaps you should not be diving in the first place. Please stop propagating the nonsense that the boat crews are there to give you that "resort experience" in the Channel Islands. You get what you pay for.
