Anyway, my friend and I are going to do some hard core Salton Sea research and send a proposal for its restoration in a year as an out of school project (we try doing a lot of these things) To you, what are the major drawbacks of the Salton Sea. Its too bad the Colorado rivers deposits of silt cut off the imperial valley from the Gulf of California, if it didn't happen the Warm Baja waters would be right in your back yard, and san Diego would be part of the baja peninsula.
