I usually tip $10 if I feel it was a good trip, good food and help. This is probably 80% of the trips I am on.

I tip $5 if something about the trip wasn't up to par that "is" controlled by the crew (like bad food, un-professional behavior, no help, slow fills, etc).

Only on one occasion I didn't tip at all. It was the Cee Ray on a SC charter, the boat crew was very pissy the entire trip (which was caused by SC overbooking and having some jerk instructors on the boat). The crew also was very unprofessional this trip and basically threatened the passengers that they would return to port if we continued to complain. I think they intentionally made very bad food that day too.

Then again, I went on the Cee Ray a few weeks later with Reef Seekers and it was completely different. I think I tipped $10 then.
