The vis is not great there, however. It is fine, as one of those ab sites near the Russian River that gets a regular dosage of silt.
For really clear vis, you need to go further north.
Once you pay your $6 fee at Gerstle Cove, you can use the receipt to come into the Ft Ross site and visit the museum etc. But I would not dive there.
