James Thompson of Lomita and Les White of Los Angles show off their 3.5-pound lobsters taken off the west end of Catalina during Dive N’ Surf’s 28th Annual Lobster Mobster Dive. Over 300 divers participated in Saturday morning’s season opener. The winning bug was a 9.8 pounder taken by Sumit Purhohit. Don Christianson. And Jim Lyle were second and third with bugs just over nine pounds.
