I know someone who tried a few years ago. He was inspired by Homer Simpson. His salt water tank had no fish in it. He was between cleanings. His aquarium was pretty big, I think 80 gallons. He put one lobster in it that he said was legal size. It died two days later. He said it was because he could not feed it enough and the water exchange was not fast enough.
