I have seen it done. You must have a chiller since the ideal temperature is about 56 °F. Also they can dirty the water quite fast and a very large filtration system is need. Also they use a great deal of O2 so you need airation.
I have kept them for days in an ice chest with an air stone and ice in plastic bottles so it does not mix with the saltwater. My freind kept some for 8 days this way, but he had to change the water twice. You also need to feed them or they will attack each other for food.
