Keeping lobsters in a tank is rather cruel as the environment is totalyl foreign to them. The water must be chilled, they are like veal in a cramped space, no foraging, no nothing.

When I kept reef tanks, the environments were duplicated by keeping very small fish in very large tanks with lots of crannies, changing lighting, lots of food variety, lots of foraging, lots of wave action during the day, fish and inverts were selected based upon compatibility and that did fine in relative captivity,etc.....

Keeping such large invertebrates in such a small tank and in such an unnatural environment is not doing our best we are capable of.
