Josh asked: "Is this class open to students that didn't take their OW class from Reef Seekers and if so what is the usual ratio of non-Reef Seeker students?"

Sure. It's open to anyone regardless of where you took your initial class. Heck, you don't even have to be certified.

One time I had three people - one who had just completed EDAM at the Chmaber but didn't quite grasp the deco concepts, one who had completed a class at another shop, and one guy who hadn't yet taken a class but wanted to get a head start on tables and the underlying concepts.

As far as Reef Seekers to non-RSD ratio, it varies.

It's a very loose format but generally we start with Boyle, move to Dalton, go on to Henry, throw in a little Charles, look at the differences between NAVY/NAUI/PADI tables and the whys and wherefores of them, and segue into computers, with digressions to discuss other topics of interest to the group (deep stops, safety stops, etc. etc.).

If anyone is considering taking the class, please make sure you let us know you intend to attend by calling us and signing up ahead of time at 310/652-4990.
