I beleive that investment in new film gear at this point in time is ill advised. It is possible to find some deals on used film gear, but most people still want far too much. Digital has a much quicker learning curve since you get instant feedback, and can take many more pictures. I typically take 100+ each dive. You only see the good ones, but volume helps.
If I were to buy a underwater photo set-up today I would get the following.
An Olympus c-60
A Olympus PT-024 housing
INON mounts and AD lenses
and INON D-2000 strobes
You will find that underwater photography is yet one more money sink.
