I am hesitant to post this, per the accidents that may or may not have happened this weekend but, here goes. Except for what might have happened this weekend was the most beautiful weekend of the year. We went to San Clemente on Sat. and the first dive was at “East End Reef”. Vis was around 100’ and temp was a nice 64 de. Gene even saw an elusive butterfly fish in one of the caves in 85’ of water. Next dive at “Skull Point”, and again great vis. Last dive at “Hawk Rock Reef” vis still great. The crossing was great. There was virtually no wind or swells and Master Mate Kim did great job piloting to and from San Clemente.
Sunday we went to Cat. And again great vis at all locations, no currents, some nice fat bugs taken, no wind and very little swell. Everything considered, I think, the best overall weekend of the year.
