Getting back to something we can do something about... George Lawry
(President of the Sonoma County Abalone Network) asked if we would write
some letters regarding the take down of the San Francisco abalone
buyers. The SF DA says she's going to get serious about environmnetal
crimes, perhaps a bunch of letters would help give her the political
motivation she needs. The information I have is as follows:

Suspects:
Li Sheng Chen
Wu Qiang Zhang
Nichole Zhang Li

currently out on $10,000 bail ( and I suspect furiously harvesting
abalone to pay the bail)

Case No.s:
2184432
2184435
2184439

Judge: Honorable Donald Sullivan
San Francisco Superior Court
8150 Bryant Street
San Francisco, CA 94103

George urges us to write letters urging the judge to prosecute to the
maximum extent of the law in order to protect a unique resource, help
put a stop to the market demand that has driven rampant poaching

CC: the Prosecutor, Deputy District Attorney Denina Pujari
Office of the San Francisco District Attorney
(I don't have the address, sorry. does someone else have it?)

Hearing is on October 28 so letters ought to go out soon.

Thanks,
Mike Malone
