I think that it is very worthwhile to discuss the things that could go wrong in retrieving an anchor. It is not a common topic and it is important to think about. Maybe it would be more appropriate in a thread other than the one about death of one of our brethren, but in a board with this format things seem to get discussed where they come up, not necessarily where they are most appropriate. Maybe a separate post to express condolences would be nice.
