At least as far a film camera history has recorded itself, some of the less expensive cameras have not always been the most reliable as far as perhaps the most important feature goes .... being water tight. Check the warranty and you might want to purchace some DAN Flood insurance. The DAN flood insurance is very inexpensive and can be worthwhile. Your period of highest risk will be while the camera is new to your hands and you are learning the quirky nature of O-ring magic.
