There are other ways that you can use to establish copyright that have held up in court without an official registraion.
put your copyrighted phot/story ect, on a disck or printoput and seal it in an envelope with s ecurrity seal.. next go to the post office and send it certified mail.. once you receive it put it away in a safe place.. You have a date establishing copyright..
