Paint strippers are a lot more potent than
Phosphoric Acid. Phosphoric Acid is a good
recommendation, however. You can get it in the
housewares department at OSH as "Edfred Tile
Cleaner" which is really great stuff for cleaning
hard water stains in the bathroom, and crusty
stuff from the ocean. No problem with plastic.
Gloves are a good idea, however, as is patience
and a dry object (it doesn't seem to work as well on wet surfaces).
