Wonderful report and great pics.
But FYI, when you wrote "Short on remaining bottom time, I stayed near the bow section of the Palawan.", in the photo, I believe the first one in the PALAWAN series in the article, the roundish, bulbous protrusion is actually the propellor shaft boss at the stern of the ship. It's grown over quite beautifully.
