I was wondering if anyone out there has had an encounter with a Harbor Seal (called "Spot" for the numerous black spots on a white/gray body).
All of my encounters with Spot have been very interesting. He has sit in on a buddy breathing circle on a certification dive, popped up to the surface with me and my dive buddies and directed me to the shore when my compass broke under the kelp canopy at Lover's point.
I have some non-diving friends who like to laugh at me for my stories about Spot, so it would help me out to know if anyone can relate their experiences with Spot or any other harbor seals.
