Actually, Max, you might want to reconsider. The date for the report on hydrobulb bows is 1994 - I can assure you the bulb bow technology was NOT used during the construction of mid-40s, 10-knot, Liberty ships.
Try this link, and the images associated with the site. They're not real good, but I'm short on time (gear to clean)and will look for better images later. I don't believe you'll see any indication of the bulb bow on any of the Liberties.
The Palawan was cut very low along her bulwarks, removing the stern flair. Keep an open mind (and un-narced, too) and take a look next time. It may give you a whole new perspective on the wreck.
