A couple years ago we were on the Cee Ray and dove Eagle's Nest and Eagle Rock (wow, the current was intense!) I believe Capt. Mike said Eagle's Nest was named for the...uh... eagle's nest that roosted above the site? Is it safe to presume that Eagle Rock is also named for said eagle? They are right next to one another.
Just a guess!
