Donno about Castle Rock, Tim, but I do know a story about Pyramid cove. I worked with a guy who was in the Navy, he was at one time a spotter in the blockhouse above Pyramid Cove at San Clemente. There is a small penninsula in that cove. Next itme you are there, take a look at it, you'll see that the front face of it is cut off, sloped off. Done by a single 16" shell from the Missouri. I miss battleships.
